About Us

Kashiwa Dojo was founded in 2003 by Vito Tattoli Sensei. Will took over running the dojo in 2013, after Vito retired. We are highly dedicated to the arts of iaido and jodo, but we maintain a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We take pride in our diversity and are an inclusive dojo.

Training Times:

Wednesdays — Iaido and Jodo 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Teacher: Will Heal

Will is a fully qualified and insured coach with many years experience in the arts. A 5th dan in both iaido and jodo, he competes at the highest levels, has represented Great Britain several times on the iaido and jodo national squads and has won medals at all levels (National, European, and International).

Coaching Qualifications: Iaido & Jodo BKA Regional Coach (Level 3)

Assistant Teacher: Elisabetta Carbone

Elisabetta (Isa) is a fully qualified and insured coach (BKA Level 1) with many years experience in the arts. Isa is a 3rd dan in both iaido and jodo.

We take beginners at any time, and you are very welcome to come along and watch a class or, even better, join in. Your first lesson is free. We only accept adults (over 18).
